This Pride Month, join Deutsche Bank, the Interbank Roundtable and NY Cares for three hours in support of LBGT Youth Centers!
In a 2006 report from the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, estimates show that a third of homeless youth identify themsleves as LBGT. In New York city, this implies that a staggering 8-10,000 youth are without a home every night. The Ali Forney Center and Sylvia's Place are committed to addressing this 'epidemic' among the homeless youth. Both of these shelters provide food, shelter, and, in the case of Ali Forney, job placement assistance.
In coordination with NY Cares, volunteers will lend a much needed hand in sprucing up these clinics. Offices and meeting areas will be painted. Donations and pantry items will be sorted and organized. In general all volunteers will be tasked with making the shelter more welcoming and hospitable for these underserved youth. Your help is needed!

All volunteers will meet afterwards at a location (TBD) for lunch and networking.
This event is limited to 50 volunteers and the majority of the spots are already filled. Please RSVP as soon as possible.
